2 Choose a photo

Take or choose an effective photo (see my Good Photo Guide).

Try to pick an image that shows the character of the animal.

Your photo must be in focus and well-lit. I’m happy to discuss the merits of different options with you, if you have several photos.

I can only use photos that you have taken yourself, unless you have permission from the photographer to use them.

3 Discuss requirements

Talking through your ideas is essential for getting an artwork you will love. We’ll consider the size and level of detail, and I’ll produce a quotation. If you feel a bit lost, get in touch and I can advise.

Your artwork will be supplied mounted, wrapped for presentation, but unframed. Tracked UK postage is included.

For international orders, I will confirm any additional delivery charges before accepting a commission.

4 Secure slot

Once we have agreed the details, and you are happy to proceed, I will ask for an initial payment of 25%. This is refundable until the agreed start date.

If you have a deadline, such as a birthday, please let me know.

5 Review artwork

I will provide you with regular updates of the artwork in progress. I also like to post updates on social media as this helps me secure further work.

I will send you a photo of the final artwork before shipping and then payment of the balance is due.
